The Gold Silk Manufacturing Process
The sumptuous look of Gold Silk products is achieved through the perfection of a technique rooted in ancient, Native American cultures. Our patented machinery, specially invented for the process, creates tiny, perfectly-cut hollow, cylindrical gold and sterling silver beads. It’s a unique, sophisticated process with stunning results.
How It Works
First, a very small sterling silver or karat gold strip is inserted into the Gold Silk machine. There, they are cut and drilled to a precise length and diameter. Next, the beads are sized and polished using our exclusive tumbling system. This stage assures each bead is uniform, smooth and flawless with an exquisite gleam.
Assembly
After the mechanical process, the beads receive the finest care from highly-skilled craftsmen. Our hand-stringing procedure is key to the Gold Silk quality and beauty that buyers have come to know and trust. Each cylindrical bead is meticulously strung on the strongest microfilament, resulting in a precise, silky and highly flexible product.

Caring for Gold Silk
Gold Silk is precious metal strung on very strong filament; under normal use and wear our jewelry will last a lifetime. Of course, excessive tugging and pulling isn’t recommended. Nor should the jewelry be exposed to harsh chemicals, oils and abrasive surfaces as these could lead to discoloration and abrasion which would detract from the beauty of the jewelry.
Keeping Gold Silk Clean
It’s highly recommended that all Gold Silk jewelry be cleaned monthly with a jewelry polishing cloth. A treated cloth will remove environmental build up of atmospheric pollutants and body oils, while restoring high luster.
